Seminar

Bringing a fresh perspective to Early Childhood Education and Care

Tuesday 17th September 2019

(09.30 – 15.30)

The Angel Hotel, Castle Street, Cardiff CF10 1SZ

As part of the 4 Nations tour organised by Early Childhood Ireland, Early Years Scotland, Early Years in Northern Ireland and Early Years Wales, we are proud to be hosting a seminar led by:

Aldo Fortunati & Barbara Pagni

Early Childhood, Education and Care specialists from La Bottega di Geppetto – International Research and Documentation Centre on Childhood Gloria Tognetti in Tuscany, northern Italy (www.bottegadigeppetto.it)

Don’t miss out on this golden opportunity to meet Aldo and Barbara who will be bringing you a fresh perspective to delivering services within Early Childhood Education and Care to enhance children’s and family’s experiences from birth.

The San Miniato approach to early childhood education recognises the child as the protagonist – the leading character – in the processes of growing, learning and developing relationships, not only from the child’s viewpoint but for the benefit of their parents, family members, and their wider communities.

How can a whole community approach enhance experiences and place the emphasis on creating opportunities for children by freeing up their competencies and potential?

Come and join in the discussion about this, and other approaches through a series of workshops & sharing of high quality practice, that focus and recognise the importance of the first 3-years of a child’s life.

Workshops

On the day of the seminar you will be invited to take part in 2 out of 4 workshops. You can read a brief synopsis of each workshop here
